TOKYO GHOUL

           Ken Kaneki, who can barely survive after a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, a woman who is revealed to be a ghoul, a human-like creature that hunts and eats human flesh, is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that somehow he underwent an operation that turned him into half ghoul, and like them, had to consume human flesh to survive as well. With no one else to turn to, he was picked up by the ghoul who runs the "Anteiku" coffee shop, the first to find it by Yoshimura and Touka Kirishima who taught him to face his new life as half human / half ghoul, including interacting with the ghoul and opposite societies Faction, while struggling to keep its identity secret from other humans.  There he meets with Tsukiyama Shuu who intend to eat him, and his senior on campus, Nishiki Nishio and his girlfriend Kimi.
The prequel series Tokyo Ghoul: JACK recounts a young man named Kishou Arima and Taishi Fura, two characters from the main series who got acquainted when they joined to investigate the death of Taishi's friend by the ghoul hand, leading to Taishi who eventually followed Arima's path and joined the CCG Ghoul), a federal agent in charge of dealing with ghoul-related crimes as well.
The sequel series Tokyo Ghoul: re tells about Kaneki the amnesia with the new identity of Haise Sasaki, the leader of a special CCG investigator team called "Quinx Squad", underwent the same procedure as Kaneki, allowing them to gain special abilities from the ghoul in CCG Against them, but can still live as normal human beings because RC Sell they are still more or less like a normal human being.
